Weather in Tuscany, strong thunderstorms confirmed: yellow alert. The most at-risk areas

A quick disturbance passing over Northern Italy will also affect Tuscany between Tuesday afternoon and evening, favoring an increase in instability especially in the central-northern areas of the region. For this reason, the Region has issued a yellow alert for severe storms.

Already this afternoon, Monday the 20th, isolated showers or storms on the Apennines cannot be ruled out, with generally light precipitation. However, locally there may be gusts of wind and occasional hail.

A more marked worsening is expected for Tuesday the 21st. From the afternoon until the evening, showers and storms of strong intensity will be possible, with a higher probability in the inland areas and on the hills, but without excluding phenomena also in other areas of central-northern Tuscany. The precipitation could be locally intense, accompanied by strong gusts of wind and hail.
