TUSCANY. The heavy storms that hit Versilia, Empolese, and several areas of Chianti yesterday caused flooding and significant damage.
And also for today, Friday, September 18, local weather models, the so-called Lam, indicate the possibility of new thunderstorms especially between the Livorno hinterland, lower Pisa area, Grosseto, and Siena. The Tuscany Weather Center urges caution also for the Tuscan Archipelago, considering the presence of thunderstorm systems already formed over the sea and visible from radar images. We remind that the Tuscany Region has issued a yellow alert.
