Deputy Minister at MIT Edoardo Rixi, speaking in a thematic session dedicated to ports on the sidelines of the Council’s work together with the Presidents of AdSP Carloni, Mastro, and Benevolo, stated: “The port reform is a strategic choice for Italy: it means giving more strength to our economy, making the logistics system more competitive, and putting ports in a position to plan and carry out the necessary works. Italy must return to considering its ports not just as simple infrastructures, but as a lever for growth, security, and economic sovereignty in the Mediterranean.”

Lucia Albano, Undersecretary for Economy and Finance, brought her institutional greetings highlighting that: “The international situation is very fluid and constantly evolving, but the Government will continue to guarantee its support to the categories that will have to face this moment of crisis, respecting the balance of public accounts, which we must protect. This is what we have already done with the various fuel Decrees, as well as through the tax credit intended for road transport. We will continue to work in this direction, aware that aid to businesses and productive categories will have to become increasingly structural. We must not limit ourselves to accompanying businesses from one emergency to another, but we must be able to support them in a phase of difficulty that is becoming increasingly complex.”
“As ALIS – concluded President Guido Grimaldi – we will continue to work with businesses and institutions on infrastructure, intermodality, ports, energy, and sustainability. We also look with great enthusiasm to the next national appointment of the Association: the ALIS General Assembly, which will celebrate 10 years of ALIS and will be held next Wednesday, December 9, at the wonderful Teatro San Carlo in Naples.”

“It is a great pleasure for us to have gathered our Members’ Council in Ascoli Piceno and it is now a good habit for ALIS to meet in different parts of Italy, because we believe it is important to get to know the territories, businesses, and many excellences that contribute every day to the growth of our country up close. Marche represents a region rich in entrepreneurial capacity, work culture, and a strong bond between institutions, community, and the productive system and, at the same time, the territory offers extraordinary cultural and artistic wealth, as testified by this beautiful and historic Teatro Ventidio Basso. We therefore thank Mayor Marco Fioravanti and the local institutions for their presence and extraordinary hospitality.”
Thus President Guido Grimaldi opened the works of the ALIS Members’ Council held at the Teatro Ventidio Basso in Ascoli Piceno in the presence of numerous entrepreneurs and institutions, including – besides the mayor – Deputy Minister for Infrastructure and Transport Edoardo Rixi, Undersecretary of State for Economy and Finance Lucia Albano, the Director General of MIT Donato Liguori, and the Presidents of AdSP Mirco Carloni, Francesco Benevolo, and Francesco Mastro.
“In an international phase characterized by profound geopolitical changes, transformations of supply chains, and pressures on energy markets, Italy is showing important signs in terms of economic growth, employment, and political stability. In this scenario, transport and logistics assume an increasingly strategic role to support the competitiveness of businesses and connect territories, markets, and people, and we are proud that both our Members and the institutional representatives present today can further enhance the importance of our sector. Today’s Council has indeed represented a moment of discussion, sharing, and participation dedicated to associative life and the topics of greatest interest for our socio-economic system and has also marked a further step in the growth of ALIS, with the entry of numerous new entities, including the Member Councillors: BRT SPA, one of the main Italian express transport operators, with a network of over 200 branches and more than 11,000 vehicles dedicated to national and international shipments; ROYAL CARIBBEAN CRUISES LTD, a world-leading group in the cruise sector, owner of some of the most prestigious brands in international maritime tourism; LOGTAINER SRL, an operator specialized in intermodal and rail container transport, active in connections between the main Italian ports and the country’s production districts; GTA SRL, a new national platform dedicated to port logistics of finished vehicles, born from the alliance between the Arcese, Conti, and Cosulich families in support of the automotive supply chain; D’AUTILIA GROUP, a company specialized in insurance consulting and risk management for the nautical and maritime sector; KUNEE SRL, a consulting company specialized in facilitated finance, energy transition, and support for businesses in innovation and development paths; SINTESI SPA, specialized in health and safety services at work, organizational consulting, and occupational medicine for companies and entities; NATEK SRL, an engineering company specialized in the design and construction of high-tech industrial plants for various production sectors. These are important memberships that bring new skills, new experiences, and new energy to ALIS and strengthen an increasingly broad and representative network, capable of connecting businesses, territories, and different sectors. We are truly proud of our Association, which confirms itself as a human and entrepreneurial community that continues to grow, create a system, and build new opportunities for dialogue for the future of logistics, transport, and mobility,” added Grimaldi.
