The product, of the brand Trendhaus, model 964700, concerns batches 2026 CH34194 3 and 2025 CH33501 and was found to contain asbestos, specifically tremolite, a substance classified in the notice as associated with a “serious risk”.
The danger, according to the Ministry, arises especially if the toy is damaged or broken, with the possibility of inhaling asbestos fibers.
Recommendations for those who own the product
The Ministry advises not to use the toy and to avoid disposing of it in regular household waste. In case of finding it, especially if the product is broken or if the material inside has leaked out, it is recommended to contact the local health authority (Asl/Ats) for guidance on management and disposal.
Particular attention is also directed to schools and educational facilities, which are asked to check any purchases made in the years 2025 and 2026 and to immediately remove the product if present.
A previous recall for another toy
This is not the first Trendhaus product affected by a similar measure. At the end of July, another toy, this time carrot-shaped, model 967176, was reported and withdrawn, also due to the presence of asbestos.
