How it works
The measure, which will follow a mechanism similar to that adopted for the appliance bonus, will allow citizens to obtain a direct discount at the time of purchase. Users will be able to select the product and retailer from a list that will be made available online and, once the required conditions have been verified, will receive a voucher usable at participating points of sale.
The benefit will cover up to 70% of the price of the purchased device. The maximum amount provided is 30 euros for digital terrestrial decoders and 70 euros for satellite decoders.
Requirements
At the moment, there are no ISEE-related limits. However, to access the benefit, it will be necessary to demonstrate that the Rai license fee has been paid. Furthermore, the purchased devices must comply with specific technical characteristics.
For digital terrestrial, decoders must support the new DVB-T2 standard and HEVC Main 10 video encoding. For satellite reception, compatibility with the DVB-S2 tuner and 10-bit HEVC video compression will be required.

The application
The management of requests will be entrusted to PagoPa’s PARI platform. Users can submit applications through the IO app or via the dedicated portal, accessing with Spid or electronic identity card. The system will automatically carry out the necessary checks, cross-referencing data from the National Registry of Resident Population and the Revenue Agency to ascertain the payment of the television license fee.
Once the checks are completed, the applicant will receive a unique alphanumeric code to be used at the retailer to obtain the discount on the invoice. The voucher will have a limited duration and must be used by the indicated deadline.
The bonus will be granted for only one purchase per household. The total available resources amount to 28.8 million euros and contributions will be assigned following the chronological order of application submission, until funds are exhausted. Purchases made online can also benefit from the incentive, according to specific procedures that will be defined for participating sellers.
