The singer announced that he was assisted by the emergency room staff of Policlinico San Marco, whom he publicly thanked. The reason for the hospitalization has not yet been clarified, but investigations are ongoing.
Health issues in recent days
In recent days Salmo had already shared some updates on his condition, posting a video from the hospital in which he said he had a recurrence of basal cell carcinoma, a very common and generally non-metastatic form of skin cancer. The rapper attributed the cause to sunscreen, claiming that some creams had worsened his situation. A theory that sparked great debate and was firmly denied by Sidemast, the Italian Society of Dermatology. Dermatologists reminded that UV rays are carcinogenic and that sunscreen is a fundamental tool to reduce the risk, while excessive and unprotected exposure is the real danger factor.
