UDINE. A woman drowned in an underpass in Latisana, in the province of Udine. The victim and the rescue efforts
The victim is an 83-year-old woman, a widow, originally from San Michele al Tagliamento. According to an initial reconstruction of the events, the elderly woman, despite the bad weather, drove into the underpass completely flooded due to the heavy storm that has hit the area in recent hours, becoming trapped.

The attempt by two carabinieri, who immediately intervened after the alarm was raised to 112, to pull her out of the vehicle was in vain.
