American actress Hayden Panettiere, star of series such as “Heroes” and “Nashville”, has died at the age of 36. The news was confirmed by her agent to Abc News and Cnn, specifying that the death occurred on Sunday. At the moment the causes have not been disclosed, but the authorities have opened an investigation following an incident that took place in her home. In an official statement, the actress’s father, Skip Panettiere, expressed the family’s deep sorrow: “Hayden was an incredible light and a force of nature who brought immeasurable love and joy to everyone who knew her.” The actress would have turned 37 on Friday.
Panettiere’s career began early, at just 11 months, with some commercials, then consolidating in the soap operas “One Life to Live” and “Guiding Light”. Worldwide fame came in 2006 with the role of cheerleader Claire Bennet in “Heroes”. Subsequently, she played country star Juliette Barnes in the series “Nashville”, a role that earned her two Golden Globe nominations. On the big screen, she was also known for her participation in the horror saga “Scream” (chapters 4 and VI) as Kirby Reed and for the film “Remember the Titans”. Her last film work, the psychological thriller “Sleepwalker”, was released in January of this year.
In recent years, the actress’s private life had been marked by the tragic loss of her younger brother Jansen, who passed away in 2023 at the age of 28. Panettiere leaves behind her 11-year-old daughter, Kaya, born from the relationship with former Ukrainian boxing champion Wladimir Klitschko.
