AREZZO. The firefighters of Arezzo intervened on regional road 71, at the height of Ponte alla Chiassa, for a road accident today, Thursday, August 6.

A car, driven by a sixty-four-year-old woman, lost control and overturned for reasons under investigation by the local police officers, as well as the exact dynamics of the accident. The driver was trapped in the cabin and was extracted by the firefighters and the medical staff of the 118 emergency service. Once extracted, the driver was taken care of by the medical personnel.

The 118 operations center of the South East Tuscany Health Authority was activated at 4:30 PM. The woman was transported in code 3 – therefore in red code – to the hospital in Siena. Present on site were the ambulance of the White Cross of Arezzo, the nursing car from Arezzo, and the Pegaso 2 helicopter.
