After the Suvereto fire, which is being contained, other fires are affecting the Tuscan territory. The most complex situation, on the afternoon of Thursday, August 6, was in the municipality of Firenzuola, where a fire broke out in a rugged area on the border with Emilia-Romagna.

In the area, estimated around 10-15 hectares, two regional helicopters are already active and the intervention of a Canadair has been requested. On the ground, led by an operations director from the Mugello Union of Municipalities, about a dozen teams, including volunteers and forestry workers, and two fire brigade teams are operating.

A fire that affected a wooded area in the locality of Maiano, in the municipality of Scansano, is instead in the containment phase, and cleanup operations are already underway.
