And the effects of bad weather are also felt on events that will be postponed and ordinances from various municipalities that arrange the closure of public spaces, some areas, and the postponement of weekly markets. Livorno

From 10 PM today until 6 PM tomorrow:
- parks and gardens with regulated access and municipal cemeteries closed;
- riverbank cycle paths along the Arno closed;
- outdoor activities in parks, gardens, and green areas prohibited;
- “Cascine” stop of the T1 tramway suspended;
- in freely accessible green areas, the recommendation is not to enter or stay.
Prato
As a precaution, from 10:00 PM today, the closure of public parks and gardens, cemeteries (public and private), sections at riverbank level of the city cycle paths along the Bisenzio River, and the prohibition of commercial activities, markets, sports, educational and/or recreational activities outdoors have been ordered.
Lucca
«The mayor of Lucca, as the civil protection authority, in order to guarantee public safety, deems it necessary and orders the closure of gardens, public parks, cemeteries, city walls, regulated access playgrounds, as well as the Botanical Garden, Guinigi Tower, and CONI Field for outdoor activities and outdoor sports facilities, recommending citizens not to frequent freely accessible green areas and prohibiting any outdoor activities in public gardens, parks, city walls, river park, and green areas of the city from 10:00 PM on Thursday, August 20 to 6:00 PM on Friday, August 21, 2026, or in case of extension of the orange alert until the new deadline set by the Tuscany Region Functional Center».

A mayoral ordinance was issued during the hours of the orange alert for road and public place closures, suspension of outdoor events, markets, summer centers, and nurseries activities. Beaches are interdicted and sea gates closed.
Viareggio
The pine forests will remain closed for the entire duration of the alert. In Viareggio, the celebration for the 150th anniversary of the “Gino Capponi” avenue in the pine forest, scheduled for today, Thursday, August 20, at 6 PM, has also been canceled.
Massarosa
The suspension of all fairs, festivals, events, shows, entertainments, and events organized outdoors, both on public and private areas open to the public;
the suspension of sports, recreational, and social activities organized outdoors;
the prohibition of public opening, during the above period, of structures and spaces intended for the aforementioned events. Access is allowed exclusively to organizers and personnel strictly necessary for securing the structures, facilities, and equipment, to be carried out as quickly as possible and in any case under safe conditions.
Forte dei Marmi
With the first ordinance, the cancellation of the “Friday Market – Vittoria Apuana,” scheduled for tomorrow, Friday, August 21, from 8:00 AM to 1:30 PM, was ordered.
With the second ordinance, the Mayor has arranged automatic procedures for the closure of public parks and the pier in case of weather alerts with orange code. Considering the ongoing alert, municipal parks and the pier will remain closed for the entire duration of the alert.
The measure concerns all public parks, playgrounds, and dog parks in the municipal territory and, regarding the pier, provides for the prohibition of access even in the absence of physical barriers, with the closure signaled through the light panel or variable message.
The municipal administration of Forte dei Marmi invites citizens to exercise maximum caution when moving, especially during thunderstorms and strong wind gusts, and recommends following updates disseminated through the official channels of the Municipality.

Bagno a Ripoli
«The closure of public parks and gardens and the closure of all cemeteries. Kiosks in public gardens are also closed and no outdoor events, either public or private, can be held. Due to the alert, the Friday weekly market in Grassina is also canceled. I have also ordered the closure of both public and private sports facilities. For residents in the Ponte a Ema area, the parking lot at the end of the cemetery and the Coop parking lot will also be opened, thus offering two areas where cars can be parked more safely during the alert period».

Summer centers closed and municipal outdoor sports activities suspended.
Vaiano
During this period the following are ordered:
the closure of all municipal cemeteries;
the closure of parks, public gardens, and playgrounds;
the closure of outdoor sports facilities;
the suspension of outdoor initiatives and events;
the prohibition of staying on bridges and walkways or near watercourses.
Pedestrian and bicycle transit is prohibited: from the Il Pozzino locality, in via di Sofignano, to the Isola locality; between via di Faltugnano and Gamberame-La Cartaia, at the southern entrance of the tunnel; between the Briglia sports facilities and the landslide north of the tunnel.

The kind public is informed that the Sal Da Vinci concert, scheduled for this evening, August 20, at Villa Bertelli in Forte dei Marmi (LU), has been postponed to tomorrow, Friday, August 21, due to the orange weather alert issued by the Tuscany Region.
The concert will take place regularly tomorrow evening, August 21.
Tickets already purchased remain valid for the rescheduled date and no replacement will be necessary.

Due to the orange weather alert issued by the Tuscany Region, the Enrico Nigiotti concert, scheduled for this evening, August 20, at the Teatro delle Rocce in Gavorrano (GR), has been postponed to Saturday, August 29, 2026.
