Tragedy in the Vercellese area. A four-year-old girl has died in a house in Motta de’ Conti, a small town on the border with the Alessandrino area. The incident occurred on Thursday, July 23 while the little girl was with her grandparents, along with her siblings, at a time when her parents were not present.

Electrocution and rescue efforts
According to initial reconstructions by the Alessandria police, the girl was hit by an electric shock inside the house. Rescue efforts were immediately launched, and the little girl was rushed to Casale Monferrato hospital, where doctors tried to save her without success.
The prosecutor’s investigation
The Vercelli prosecutor’s office has opened a file to clarify the causes of the incident. Investigators are focusing on some exposed wires present in the house. The autopsy, already performed, will have to provide further elements to precisely reconstruct what happened.

A family recently arrived in the village
The family, of Bosnian origin, had only been living in Motta de’ Conti for a few months. After the investigations, the girl’s body will be returned to her country of origin, where the funeral will be held.
