The discussion on the bill concerning the reform of port governance continues. The Deputy Minister of Infrastructure and Transport Edoardo Rixi met today, via videoconference, with the ANCI representatives delegated to follow the port reform dossier, whose parliamentary process is currently underway in the Chamber of Deputies.
The national president of ANCI, Gaetano Manfredi, also took part in the meeting, “confirming – reads a note from the Ministry – the willingness to maintain a constant and constructive dialogue with the system of local authorities on a strategic measure for the future of Italian ports.”
During the meeting, the main contents of the reform were examined in depth and contributions and observations were collected from the municipalities, with a view to a shared path that enhances the role of the territories and strengthens the efficiency of the national port system.
“The meeting – continues the note issued by the MIT – represents a further piece of an ongoing dialogue with all the institutional actors involved. The dialogue with local administrations continues to accompany the parliamentary process, with the aim of reaching a text that is as shared and effective as possible. The Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport thus confirms the approach that has characterized the work on the reform from the beginning: listening, dialogue, and participation, to build a port governance that is more modern, efficient, and capable of responding to the challenges of international competitiveness.”
