Maxi cheese recall: over 60 batches withdrawn – All products involved

The Ministry of Health has issued a precautionary recall concerning numerous raw milk dairy products from Azienda Agricola Renzini Sila, after a test on bulk milk taken on July 20, 2026 revealed the presence of Escherichia coli STEC/VTEC. The notification involves a very large number of batches, which is why the company has urged consumers to exercise the utmost caution.

Products involved in the recall

The measure concerns two types of fresh cheeses:

• Fresh caciocavallo, marketed in whole forms of 1.5 kg
• Fresh caciotta, sold in 900-gram forms

Both products are made with raw milk and have an expiration date three months from the production date. The processing was carried out at the company’s plant located in località Canalicchi, Bocchigliero (Cosenza), identified with the mark 018CS0981C.
