This is the story of Elisa Vardoni, 19 years old, born in Siena to Albanian parents, who found the strength to sincerely repent after beating and stalking some peers. Now Elisa has completed the rehabilitation process, has no pending issues with the law, will attend the fourth year of a technical institute in her city, and plays football for Siena women’s team in Serie C. And at Miss Italia she found a family that welcomed her and adventure companions with whom she has a very good relationship.
In the difficult post-Covid period, Elisa, then thirteen, tries to join a group of kids who, as the newcomer, ask her for a sort of “test of courage” to be part of the group. She is forced to confront other peers unwelcome to the group and does so with insults and violent acts filmed and posted on social media. The police, after some reports, identify everyone and measures are taken against this baby gang. A rehabilitation process begins from September 2025 to last May, at the end of which Elisa Vardoni declares herself sincerely repentant.
«I made a serious mistake, I was almost brainwashed and did not want to be excluded from the group and remain alone.» During the rehabilitation process, which also included socially useful work, Elisa began volunteering by assisting the sick and children and comforting lonely elderly people. She enrolled in the Misericordia of Siena and even now never misses a shift. «Now my life consists of studying, contrada life, volunteering, and football which is my passion. I play for Siena women’s team in Serie C.» But since the beginning of this summer, there is also Miss Italia with the fashion shows in her region and qualification for the Miss Toscana final. Hoping the adventure continues.
