A 13-year-old girl from the Czech Republic died after falling about fifty meters on the Latemar group, on the border between Trentino and South Tyrol.

The victim was with her parents and was walking the path leading to the refuge at 2,600 meters when, for reasons still under investigation, she slipped and fell into a ravine. Rescue operations were immediate but there was nothing to be done for the young girl.

Despite resuscitation attempts, the mountain rescue team reconstructs, the girl died due to the serious injuries sustained. The body was transported to the mortuary in Predazzo. Assistance and support were activated for the victim’s family.
