FLORENCE. The month of July establishes itself as the best month ever for the Tuscan Airport System with over 1.1 million passengers transited and a growth of +4.9% compared to July 2025. The increase – as reported in a note by Toscana Aeroporti – was mainly driven by the international market segment (+6.1%), while the domestic segment remained essentially unchanged (+0.1%).

The Tuscan Airport System, «thanks to the best results ever achieved in each month of 2026, has exceeded 5.9 million passengers in the first seven months of 2026, recording a growth of +5.7% compared to the same period in 2025».
Results of the individual airports
- The “Amerigo Vespucci” airport in Florence recorded the best July in its history with 398 thousand passengers transited and an improvement of +3.4% compared to the same month in 2025. Both market segments contributed to the positive performance: the international segment increased by +3.8% and the domestic by +0.8%. Paris, also in July, confirms itself as the main route of the Florence airport followed by London, Amsterdam, Barcelona, and Frankfurt. The Florence airport, with record highs marked in every single month of 2026, nearly reached 2.3 million passengers in the first seven months of the year, with a growth of +4.9% over 2025.
- The “Galileo Galilei” airport in Pisa set a new historic record by surpassing the threshold of 700 thousand passengers in a single month for the first time. In July, traffic reached 719 thousand passengers transited with an increase of +5.7% over the same month in 2025. The result was supported by the international traffic segment, which increased by +7.3%, while the domestic segment remained essentially stable (-0.2%). Among the routes with the highest traffic volume, London maintains the first position, followed by Tirana, Palermo, Paris, and Catania. The Pisa airport, in the January-July period, exceeded 3.6 million passengers setting a new historic high and recording a growth of +6.3% compared to the corresponding period in 2025.
