The low-cost chain Normal has announced the recall of Milka Choco Jaffa orange cookies, following a supplier notification. The issue concerns the failure to indicate the presence of gluten on the label, specifically wheat flour. The recall affects all batches of the 147-gram packages.
The cookies
These cookies are not distributed in Italy by Mondelēz: they are produced for the market of several Central and Western European countries – including Austria, Bulgaria, France, Germany, Lithuania, Poland, Romania, and Ukraine – and arrive in our country through specialized chains that resell them with an Italian adhesive label.
Who should avoid consumption
As a precaution, the notice is addressed to people with celiac disease, gluten intolerance, or allergies to wheat proteins, who should not consume Milka Choco Jaffa orange cookies. Those who have purchased the product can return it to the point of sale, as provided by food safety procedures. For all other people, who do not have allergies or intolerances, consuming the cookies does not pose risks.
