The Italo-Ecuadorian citizen Michele Sensi-Contugi, general director of the Center for Strategic Intelligence of Ecuador, is among the dead in the crash of a tourist helicopter in Kenya. This is reported by Ecuadorian media. The Farnesina has confirmed that the man, who was traveling with his wife Stephany Hollihan, held Italian citizenship: 44 years old, he had Tuscan origins, from Volterra to be precise.

The identified victims
On the aircraft, which crashed in a rugged area at the foot of Mount Ololokwe, there were six passengers and the pilot. The other victims have been identified as the pilot Josh Outram and the passengers Roger Duarte, Adam Navaty, Stephen Vasconquez and Henry Parra.
In addition to his career in the public sector, Sensi-Contugi was a businessman and was part of the close circle of President Daniel Noboa, of whom he was a friend and confidant. His wife was a designer from Guayaquil and founder of Sensi Studio. The helicopter pilot had over 15 years of flying experience, having founded an African helicopter company to connect visitors with some of the most remote landscapes in the region.
His company also provides aerial support to the Loisaba nature reserve and neighboring reserves, assisting in wildlife monitoring, animal transfers, and sedation operations.
