Various large retail chains have reported the recall of some batches of Aia and Selex brand eggs due to a possible microbiological risk.

Recall of Aia and Selex eggs
The Ministry of Health has published the recall notice, ordered by the producer and updated on July 28, 2026, concerning a batch of Ariaperta AIA eggs. Subsequently, the recall of free-range eggs under the Selex brand was also issued.
The measure was taken as a precaution due to the possible presence of the bacterium Salmonella enteritidis, which poses a risk to consumer health.

The affected batches
The affected products are packs of 4 eggs (AIA only) and 6 eggs, belonging to batch 1IT040VR006 with an expiration date of August 4, 2026.
All recalled packages were produced by Agricola TreValli Società Cooperativa, a company of the AIA-Veronesi Group, at the plant located in località Aeroporto 18, Caselle di Sommacampagna (Verona), identified by the mark IT Q8C3N.
