Fabrizio Corona "enters" politics: «I am the new Berlusconi»

“We are an anti-system liberal movement that places the freedom of the individual at the center.” Fabrizio Corona announces what appears to be his entry into politics.

In a video of over twenty minutes published on his YouTube channel, the former celebrity paparazzo openly talks about the birth of a new movement, while behind him stands what seems to be the symbol of the formation: “For the truth – Corona”.

In the long speech, with tones as usual particularly emphatic, heated, and polemical, Corona claims the desire to “enter power to be the anti-system,” arguing that his battle no longer concerns just information but “the very concept of freedom.” Corona, retracing the events of his ‘Falsissimo,’ denounces what he calls a “deprivation of individual freedom” by Big Tech, accused of controlling data, profiles, and content, and of having “closed” his social channels multiple times.

He says he has been “canceled everywhere,” from Meta to YouTube, and claims that his political project also arises as a response to these events. He indeed announces the creation of an independent platform, King Tv, where – he says – “they won’t be able to shut me down,” and which will also host an internal social network open for free to his supporters.

In his speech, Corona harshly attacks the Italian political system, defining parties as “companies founded on the cellphone and the algorithm,” and self-defines as “the new Berlusconi, more handsome, younger, less scheming, cleaner, more transgressive,” claiming to be “good at making money” and wanting to “make the country make money.” He criticizes the current government, accusing it of having betrayed the values of “God, Homeland, family,” and attacks immigration management, arguing that those who are not in order “must be sent away,” while those who bring skills must be welcomed. Corona dedicates part of his speech to young people, denouncing that “nothing is being done” for them and that artificial intelligence risks replacing workers and teachers, creating a growing gap between rich and poor.

He also talks about those over 50, separated fathers, public healthcare, and schools, arguing that the country is “collapsing” and that a “liberal and anti-system” movement capable of “bothering the power” is needed. The video closes with a direct appeal to his followers: “If you, following my movement, help me, we’ll screw these powerful bastards.”

Then he assures: “This is not a grotesque joke, but pure reality. Because we’ll see the polls in 1 or 2 days to see what they give me, because if they give me over 3% it’s bitter trouble for everyone,” he concludes, announcing that ‘For the truth – Corona’ will have its own Instagram page and that the platform will be the first step of a political path that, in his intentions, aims to become “the thorn in the side of the system.”
