The Ecobonus platform is launched in implementation of the Dpcm that refinanced the fund supporting the automotive sector. Starting today, Wednesday, July 29, it will be possible to book incentives for the purchase of low-emission commercial vehicles belonging to categories N1 and N2. Contributions will also be available for retrofit (adaptation, ed.) to LPG and methane, intended for the purchase and installation of fuel systems on M1 category vehicles with an environmental class not lower than Euro 3.

Who can apply
For 2026, the two measures have a financial allocation of 40 million euros and 4 million euros respectively. Small and medium-sized enterprises engaged in the transport of goods on their own account or on behalf of third parties can access the incentives for the purchase of commercial vehicles. Contributions are also granted to rental companies that purchase a commercial vehicle to lease it to an SME operating in the goods transport sector, through a contract lasting no less than three years. Regarding the contribution for LPG/Methane retrofit, individuals and legal entities installing new LPG or methane fuel systems on M1 vehicles homologated in an environmental class not lower than Euro 3 can access the incentive.
