TUSCANY. Tuscany is experiencing the most delicate hours of this new wave of bad weather which has led the Region to declare orange alert for thunderstorms for the first part of today, Sunday 26 July. The areas of greatest concern are the more internal ones at a regional level: the provinces of Pistoia, Prato, Florence and Lucca. Attention to the possible development of particularly intense phenomena, such as organized storm lines, downbursts and large hailstorms. The forecasts, however, do not predict major phenomena on the coastal area; the areas of Livorno and Grosseto should not be particularly affected. However, the internal areas of Grosseto, Siena and Arezzo are under special observation, where violent phenomena are expected.
