How it works

The new agreement scheme with banks and financial intermediaries is valid for three years from May 1, 2026, to April 30, 2029, and aims to ensure a simpler, more straightforward, and safer management of financing for all citizens involved. Among the main innovations introduced to accelerate the digital transition and protect users, there is the obligation to use exclusively dedicated telematic channels for early repayment or contract modification. The so-called “external renewal,” that is, the change of financial company, is now also managed entirely online, with strict standards for indicating payment flows.

Privacy protection

At the same time, to protect privacy during the consultation of the transferable pension quota, the pensioner’s identity can be verified flexibly and advancedly: in addition to the classic identity document, it will be possible to confirm it through an OTP code sent by the Institute or by indicating the exact amount of one of the last monthly payments received.

Controls

To guarantee maximum transparency, Inps will carry out periodic checks at the affiliated institutions to verify full compliance with safety and data confidentiality regulations. On the management cost front, participating financial companies will pay the Institute an amount of 2.03 euros for each deduction operation, while for non-participating entities, a higher annual contribution is provided. Banks interested in signing the new agreement or regularizing their position can send a formal request to the dedicated mailbox: convenzioni.cessionequinto@inps.it
