The next edition of L’Isola dei Famosi is preparing to change its face. Mediaset has announced that Selvaggia Lucarelli and Alvin will host the program in the coming seasons, inaugurating a new phase for one of the longest-running and most watched reality shows on Italian television. Recordings will begin shortly in the Philippines, a new setting chosen to host the trials, dynamics, and daily life of the contestants. The couple formed by Lucarelli and Alvin will accompany the audience in the narration of the adventure, alternating different perspectives and skills.

In an official note, the company explains the decision as follows: «The choice of Selvaggia Lucarelli stems from the desire to propose a new editorial interpretation of the format, enhancing its ability to narrate the protagonists, human dynamics, and the most spectacular aspects of the program through an authoritative, original, and contemporary perspective». Alongside her will be Alvin, a historical figure of the program, who, according to Mediaset, «will ensure continuity, experience, and knowledge of the format».
