Anthony Head, the charming British actor with a smooth voice, known for his roles in “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” and “Ted Lasso”, has died. His family announced it. He was 72 years old. Head’s daughters told the British news agency Press Association that the actor «passed away peacefully from complications due to pneumonia, surrounded by his family».

The actor became known to the British television audience in the 1980s as one of the two protagonists in a series of commercials for Nescafé instant coffee, in which he played one of two characters in a romantic couple in a series of commercials. In the United States, he achieved fame playing librarian Rupert Giles in the cult series “Buffy the Vampire Slayer”, which aired from 1997 to 2003.
