The Ministry of Health has issued two recall notices concerning some batches of tripe prepared with Simmenthal sauce, produced by Bolton Food S.p.A. at the plant in Aprilia (Latina), identified with the mark IT 14 L EU. The measure was adopted as a precaution for a possible cross-contamination from soy and mustard allergens, not declared on the label.

Products involved
The ministry sheets indicate two distinct groups of batches:
- Batches K104 and K105 – tripe prepared with sauce, 420 gram package, with TMC 30/04/2029.
- Batches K155, K175 and K176 – same name and format, with TMC 30/06/2029.
In both cases, the recall concerns products marketed under the Simmenthal brand and produced by the same food operator.
Reason for the recall
According to the sheets, the problem concerns a possible accidental contamination from soy and mustard, allergens that are not indicated on the label. The undeclared presence may pose a risk to allergic or intolerant consumers.

What consumers should do
The Ministry recommends not consuming the product belonging to the indicated batches and returning it to the point of sale where it was purchased. The return entitles the consumer to a refund or replacement, according to the procedures of the distribution chain.
Information about the producer
The recalled products were made by Bolton Food S.p.A., located at Via Matteotti 2, Aprilia (LT), a company already known for the production of canned foods and products of the Simmenthal line.
