Entrepreneur and former journalist-publisher Valter Lavitola was arrested on Monday, August 10 and transferred to prison as part of an investigation by the Rome Prosecutor’s Office that sees him at the center of very serious charges: according to investigators, he would be the mastermind behind the attack on Sigfrido Ranucci, which took place in October 2025 in Pomezia.

The decision
The precautionary measure was ordered by the preliminary investigations judge of the Capital, at the request of the magistrates coordinating the investigation. The investigation, led by prosecutor Francesco Lo Voi, also hypothesizes the use of methods attributable to the mafia method, an element that contributed to making the accusatory framework even heavier.
