The cheese subject to the measure is packaged in 200-gram trays and identified by batch L126G22, with an expiration date of 05/09/2026. The production of the gorgonzola was carried out by Granarolo Spa for Centrale del Latte d’Italia Spa at the Casalino (Novara) plant, located at via dell’Industria 25 and marked with the health mark IT T616G UE.
Consumer instructions
While awaiting internal checks, the company advises anyone who has purchased a package belonging to the indicated batch not to consume the product. The gorgonzola can be returned to the point of sale for recall management or, alternatively, disposed of. Listeria monocytogenes is a bacterium that can be dangerous especially for vulnerable people, which is why recalls are activated even in the presence of a simple suspicion of contamination.
