The program, in essence, will allow people with an ISEE below 30,000 euros to lease a new car by paying a subsidized fee of 100 euros per month.
The Initiative
The initiative was presented at Mimit by the Minister of Enterprises and Made in Italy, Adolfo Urso, together with the president of ACI, Geronimo La Russa. Among the stated objectives are the reduction of the average age of the Italian car fleet, the improvement of road safety, and greater accessibility to mobility for families with fewer financial resources.
The Requirements
The program will be managed by ACI and will remain operational until June 30, 2030. Individuals with an ISEE below 30,000 euros will be able to access the benefit, through long-term leasing of new cars registered in Italy. The vehicles, as reported by the specialized website Quattroruote, must belong to category M1, be at least Euro 6, and have CO2 emissions not exceeding 135 grams per kilometer.
The contract must have a minimum duration of 36 months and will provide for a monthly fee of 100 euros, with a maximum mileage limit set at 12,000 kilometers per year.
Among the requirements to obtain the benefit is also the scrapping of a car up to Euro 4 class, owned by the applicant for at least one year. Once the minimum leasing period has ended, it will be possible to purchase the vehicle with a 10% reduction compared to its market value.
How to Apply
A dedicated online platform will be activated to submit applications, the details of which are still being defined.
Should applications exceed available resources, the order of submission will determine the ranking.
